Horsham is set in mid-central West Sussex and is an ideal setting for commuting to London. With Gatwick airport just 12 miles away, it is an ideal location for Gatwick workers, travellers or even tourists wishing to remain close to the airport but in a more rural location. Boasting over 300 shops and services throughout Horsham town centre consisting of a combination of national chain stores and more traditional family run businesses and everything in between, must make Horsham one of the best towns for shopping in the area. The shops are located in two superb shopping centres with plenty more shops in the pedestrianised areas around the town for those who prefer a more traditional shopping area. There is parking space for nearly 2,000 cars, giving easy access to the shops and is free after 6pm. The Swan Walk car park has shopmobility spaces and parent and baby parking is available in all town centre car parks.

There is plenty to do in Horsham with the Leisure Centre offering gym, bowling and swimming, the Museum, the Arts Centre which offers theatre, cinema, art gallery and music - plus numerous other places to visit.

Horsham Museum has approximately 25,000 documents about the town and surrounding area. These are available to view after arranging a suitable time to view. There is no admission charge to the museum, but donations are always welcome to go towards the improvement of the museum.

Eating out in Horsham is not difficult, apart from the choice of food, there are places to suit any budget, with burger bars, fish and chip shops and almost any other style of restaurant you could wish for.
