This friendly three star hotel, comprising of two Georgian Townhouses is set in an excellent city centre location. Just a stones throw away from St Stephens Green and within easy walking distance of O'Connell Street and the bohemian Temple Bar.
The hotel's 52 rooms are all decorated in a traditional Irish style, with every convenience, including direct dial telephone, multi channel TV, hair dryer and trouserpress and tea/coffee making facilities. As the hotel was renovated in 1998 all are modern and maintained to a good standard. The hotel is comprised of mainly double and twin rooms but with some family rooms, available on request.
The hotel's Music Bar and George Bernard Shaw restaurant serve tasty meals throughout the day and are open to the pubic as well as Hotel residents, giving the whole hotel a lively and bustling atmosphere. This atmosphere is heightened further by nightly Irish music sessions, and the onsite Velvet nightclub, popular with hotel residents and locals alike. The Residents Bar located off the main reception, is themed around the hotels link with George Bernard Shaw, it was his last Irish residence before he emigrated to America, and the dark wood panelled walls are alive with quotes from the famous playwright.
The central location of the hotel leaves many of the main attractions if Dublin within a walking distance. Links to the rest of Ireland are available within a 10 minute taxi ride.
