Hall Garth Golf & Country Club Hotel, Darlington
Hall Garth Hotel
Set in 67 acres of land, just off junction 59 of the A1(M), the Hall Garth Golf and Country Club Hotel was a much loved home, passing through several generations of the Summerson Family until the 1980's. As a hotel many home comforts have been retained while fine dining and extensive leisure facilities have been added.
Today Hall Garth offers every opportunity to relax and enjoy the tranquil countryside and good food, or to combine a business meeting with playing a round or two of golf on the 9 hole par 72 parkland golf course. Order a drink from the historic wood panelled cocktail bar, then relax beside a cheerful log fire, or choose from 2 sitting rooms furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs.
All of the 41 en suite guest rooms are comfortable and nicely equipped to give a feeling of being home away from home, and include Tea and coffee maker, satellite TV, hair dryer and direct dial telephone. Non-smoking rooms are also available on request.
Real ales and good food are served throughout the day in the traditional stables country pub located in the hotel grounds, which is an ideal choice for business lunches and informal dinners. In the evening linger over the delicious dishes served in the intimate setting of Hugo's Restaurant, awarded with two AA rosettes for fine dining.
