Farlam Hall Hotel
Farlam Hall is ideally situated from which to explore the unspoilt beauty of the English/Scottish borders, Hadrian's Wall and the Northern Pennies. Alternatively it makes an ideal resting place when travelling to and from Scotland, or the Irish Ferry at Stranraer.
The original house was extended for the last time in 1860 to create a home to be lived in and enjoyed. The elegant old house had suffered years of neglect when the Quinions purchased it in 1975. Now, 20 years of care and attention have lovingly restored it to its former glory. An ideal blend of Victorian comfort, fine furniture and modern amenities, Farlam Hall is one of the few truly family owned and run country house hotels in England as all six members of the Quinion and Stevenson families spare no effort to ensure that your stay is a pleasurable one. Aided by a team of local staff there are always at least 2 members of the family at the hotel to assist in every way.
This family extends to the kitchen where it has established a reputation for serving the very best of country house cooking. A perfect blend of modern trends and local produce to provide a satisfying meal, yet with a light touch, for hungry residents after a day's exertions.
