Greenway Hotel, Cheltenham
Greenway Hotel
The Greenway is one of the top Country House Hotels in the UK and has won more accolades than any other in the Cotswolds.
Built in 1584 as a Manor House, it was converted into a hotel in 1947. Set in seven and a half acres of formal gardens and grounds it now offers luxury accommodation and an award winning restaurant. Renowned for the warmth of its welcome and the efficient and friendly service, it is the ideal base for the business or leisure traveller.
Eleven bedrooms are in the main house with a further eight in the adjacent 19th century Coach House. The Drawing Rooms are elegantly furnished with many antiques and log fires in winter.
The Hotels Sporting activities include croquet, clay shooting, golf, horse riding and country walks.
Situated in one of Britain's most charming areas, The Greenway is ideally placed for visiting the many picturesque Cotswold villages with their abundance of antique shops, the Regency delights of nearby Cheltenham or the sites of Georgian Bath. Close, too, is Stratford-upon-Avon and Shakespeare Country.
