Lakes Court Hotel, Carlisle
Lakes Court Hotel
The Lakes Court is an elegant Victorian hotel situated in a prime city centre location, fronting Carlisle's historic Court Square.
Adjacent to Carlisle Railway Station, with the M6 motorway only two miles away, it is also within eight miles of the Scottish Borders.
The hotel was built for the arrival of Queen Victoria in Carlisle in 1853 on the way to Balmoral, and it had its own special entrance so her Majesty could walk straight from the railway carriage to the hotel. A special suite was incorporated in the hotel for the Queen.
The hotel has a choice of 70 comfortably furnished en suite bedrooms including a number of executive rooms and a four poster honey moon suite, complete with colour television, direct dial telephone, trouser press and hairdryer. A welcoming tea and coffee tray is also provided so that hot drinks can be enjoyed at any time.
Albert's Bar is on hand to relax in and enjoy your favourite drink, or dine in the Balmoral Restaurant, where the finest quality local ingredients are used to prepare delicious dishes that look as good as they taste!
Whether your visit is purely leisure or linked to business, you will receive high quality service and experience a warm and friendly welcome at The Lakes Court Hotel.
