Bailbrook Lodge Hotel, Bath
Bailbrook Lodge
A warm welcome awaits you at Bailbrook Lodge Hotel, a splendid Georgian, grade II listed house built in 1901 and designed by the famous architect John Everleigh. It was built originally as a villa for what is now Bailbrook College. During its history, the property was sold as 'a most elegant residence for a man of fortune'. Later however it became a home for 'girls in distress' and then used as a superior private asylum! Happily it has now been returned to its former glory as a privately owned hotel.
The main priority at Bailbrook Lodge Hotel is to offer every comfort and service to their guests as being a home from home. 12 bedrooms are offered many with original features and some with four poster beds.
The hotel is delightfully set above the A4 just a mile and a half from Bath's beautiful City centre, in its own garden with patio and ample private car parking to the rear. Access is very good both to the M4 motorway and to the scenic outlying villages surrounding Bath such as Lacock and Castle Combe.
Bailbrook Lodge has a residential license allowing guests to enjoy a drink in the lounge bar or sitting in the garden. The restaurant overlooking the garden has a relaxed open atmosphere and offers a one, two or three course meal.
All the tastefully decorated bedrooms offer en-suite showers or bathrooms, and are equipped with colour TV, hospitality tray, hair dryer and alarm clock/radio. Breakfast is served in the elegant dinning room with a choice of full English or continental foods.
